Our Structure

Parent Carer Forum Jersey is a voice to inform service providers of the needs of children and young people with special needs. We facilitate two way communication between parent carers and the service providers responsible for the services they use.

There is a Management Committee, chaired by an independent chair. The management committee consists of parents and carers who have volunteered their time to represent the needs of children and young people – all have personal experience of special needs.

The Parent Carer Forum works strategically with a Partnership Group which is also chaired by the independent chair. This consists of representatives from Parent Carer Forum management committee as well as representatives from the departments of Health and Social Services, Social Security, and Education. In this way the Parent Carer Forum has a direct link to engage with service providers to support and influence policy change.
